Odera names Simbas travelling squad to South Africa

Paul Odera, head coach of the national men 15s rugby team Kenya Simbas, has unveiled a 32 man traveling squad that will be headed to South Africa on Thursday 7 April 2022 to take part in the country's Currie Cup league as preparations for the team's crucial 2023 Rugby World Cup Qualifiers that will follow the tour.

In the squad named, Kabras Sugar veteran Daniel Sikuta will captain the squad and will be assisted by Elkeans Musonye from Resolution Impala Saracens.

Five players are unavailable for the Currie Cup – Toby Francombe (school commitments), Malcolm Onsando (club commitments), Michael Wanjala (work commitments), Barry Robinson (school commitments) and Michael Kimwele (work commitments)

They will link up with the Simbas for the final phase of preparations ahead of the Rugby World Cup qualifiers set for July.
