UoE Trojans back to Division II as Kabeberi 7s pools are announced

The university side have maintained a good run throughout the circuit creating a seemingly good gap with other sides and need to finish in the top nine to be crowned division two champions.
University of Eldoret Trojans are back to Division II after tasting the Division I waters at Tisap 7s. The Trojans who currently lead the log are placed in Pool B alongside Molo, Makueni, and the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) Cougars.
Homeboyz are seeded first in the second division competition at the Kabeberi 7s. The Deejayz, who were relegated from the top tier at last weekend’s Tisap 7s, won their first ever National Sevens Circuit cup title 10 years ago at this tournament and headline Pool A which also features Northern Suburbs, Zetech Oaks and Masaku.
The United States International University Martials, winners of the second division competition in Eldoret are in Pool C with Ngong, Embu and KCA Sparxx.
Meru are in Pool D with Mount Kenya University Nairobi, Technical University of Mombasa Marines and K.C.A.A Stormers.
The Administration Police Warriors, Stallions, Nanyuki Jackals and Kenya Prisons round off Pool E.
How the standings look like ahead of Kabeberi
The University of Eldoret alias UOE Trojans are on top of the log with a total of seventy seven points. The university side have maintained a good run throughout the circuit creating a seemingly good gap with other sides. They just need to finish in the top nine to be crowned division two champions.
The Stallions come in second with a total of sixty points which keeps them seventeen points behind the table leaders. They are closely followed by Administration police who have managed to accrue fifty nine points throughout the entire circuit.
Former division one participants Zetech Oaks appear to have not had a good run throughout the circuit as they come in fourth with a total of fifty four points.
Makueni and Sigalagala tie in the fifth position with both having a total of forty four points each. Moi university commonly known as Moi Arsonists closely follow behind the two falling off short by only three points.
They have managed to accumulate a total of forty one points despite not participating in the first two rounds of the circuit. Embu trail behind by almost ten points with a total of thirty three points. MKU Thika follow closely with thirty one points.
A stiff competition is very evident at the middle of the log with many teams accruing a total of between twenty and thirty points. This is however attributed to the fact that the majority of the teams did not participate in some legs of the circuit.
Kabarak university has a total of thirty points followed by Meru who come in at position twelve with twenty eight points. Nanyuki Jackals fall short of this by three points, NYS spades have garnered a total of twenty three points. TUM marines and USIU martials tie at position fifteen with both teams having twenty two points each. Homabay followed closely with twenty one points, Molo came in at position seventeen with twenty points.
At the bottom of the log Kenya prisons and Northern Suburbs lead with eighteen points each. South coast pirates and Mbale closely follow with seventeen points each. MKU Nairobi trail behind with thirteen points and are followed by Western bulls with twelve points. Siaya are at position twenty one with eight points. Blak blad who are rather unfamiliar with the division two have a total of five points after participating in only the first round of the circuit.
They share the position with Eldoret who also have five points. KCA university trail behind with a total of four points.Impala and Dagoretti Bulldogs both have three points which puts them at position twenty three. Dagoretti bulldogs and PUEA trail behind with two points each.
Vihiga granites, Border rucks, Shemberere, Kisumu Poly, Uzima, CITAM kisumu, Kilifi, Kenya coast poly, Changamwe, Likoni,NITA, Stormers, JKUAT cougars, Egerton,KSL,Ngong warriors,Masaku,Comras and Nandi are at the bottom of the log with one point each.
As the circuit finally comes to an end on the ninth and tenth of September at the Kabeberi sevens to be held at RFUEA grounds on Ngong road, fans are highly anticipating to be thrilled with an action packed weekend. Many teams are also putting in efforts to ensure that the weekend will be a success and that the circuit will be wrapped up in style.
