Leopards are still serving a player transfer ban

AFC Leopards have been dealt a massive blow as creative midfielder Saad Musa has been ruled out of action for six weeks.

The South Sudanese midfielder suffered an ankle fracture in Leopards 2-0 win over Ulinzi Stars in the opening round of the new season played last Saturday at the Lang’ata Complex.

The midfielder who joined Ingwe in 2018 from the defunct Thika United picked up the injury in the second half and was replaced by Boniface Mukhekhe.

Saad suffered a fractured ankle in our FKF-PL match against Ulinzi Stars that was played last Saturday at Ulinzi Sports Complex He will be out for 6 weeks,” read a brief statement from the club.

The injury struck at a time when Leopards are struggling with depth as ten players are yet to be cleared to feature for the club at the competitive level.

The club is still serving a transfer ban after its former players reported them to FIFA for failing to remit their dues on time.

The payment row pitting the outfit and the former arsenals saw Zurich respond by barring the former champions from signing and registering new players for two transfer windows.

The former Nairobi City Stars man joins Dan Sunguti and Tedian Esilaba in the treatment room. Saad renewed his stay at the club in July after penning a year-long deal
