The Leopards’ No. 8, a product of the club’s youth team, the Cubs, signed his extension on Saturday, September 6, 2025, and expressed confidence in a successful campaign as he heads into his fifth season with the club.

I am happy to renew my contract with this great club, and I am hopeful of good things ahead. We know this year we will achieve great things; we have had the support from the office and also a good preseason, and we hope we will have a decent run,” Wanyama said.

The attacking midfielder also sent a passionate appeal to the fans to rally behind the team as they chase trophies.

I want to urge the fans to continue their support in our games. We promise to keep the trust with good performances and bring silverware this season,” he added.

Wanyama’s renewed commitment comes as Leopards prepare to unveil their new signings in a ceremony scheduled for Sunday, 7 September, at Dandora Stadium.

The club has been busy in the transfer market, adding depth to its squad under the new management as it seeks a fresh start after a turbulent campaign under coach Fred Ambani.

Notable arrivals include former Kariobangi Sharks and Police FC midfielder Tyson Otieno, Moroccan defender Rami Lasso Coulibaly from Chabab Alam Tanger, Ugandan striker Samuel Ssenyonjo, and academy graduate Deng Kang.

Defender Brian Ojok also completed a permanent transfer to Ingwe on Friday, 5 September, while striker Elias Mugane has joined the club as part of its forward line reinforcement.

Leopards will kick off their new campaign on Saturday, 25 September, with a clash against Ezekiel Akwana’s Sofapaka at the Nyayo National Stadium, kicking off at 4:00 pm.
