The man behind Feyenoord's magnificent season becomes Tottenham's top target in the upcoming transfer window

Antonio Conte is long gone, Mauricio Pochettino has agreed on a deal with Chelsea, while Xabi Alonso has left no dilemma about his desire to stay at Bayer Leverkusen. Bearing in mind such circumstances, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy turned to none other than Arne Slot, the 44-year-old Dutch tactician currently in charge of Feyenoord.

According to Talksport, Levy has been impressed with Slot's work in leading Feyenoord to the Dutch title in impressive style.

In his second full season in charge of Feyenoord, Slot has comfortably guided them to glory in the Netherlands, with the club wrapping up the title with two matches to spare.

Slot, who has earned comparisons with Pep Guardiola, was linked with the Leeds job when Jesse Marsch was sacked earlier this season.

The North London side are currently seventh, meaning they're at serious risk of not even qualifying for next season's Europa League. Ryan Mason is caretaker manager for the remainder of the season.
