The Ghanaian midfielder was involved in a road accident on Tuesday, 2 December, as confirmed by the club through an official statement posted on their social media pages.

“Midfielder Enock Morrison sustained a calf injury in an accident en route to training; medical update is positive, no fractures, he is able to walk and has been discharged. Wishing him a speedy recovery,” reads the statement.

On his WhatsApp status, the former Asante Kotoko midfielder posted a photo of himself in a hospital bed with the caption “Thank you God”.

With the accident and the resultant injury, K’Ogalo are now sweating over the fitness and availability of the influential midfielder ahead of the Mashemeji Derby against their arch-rivals, AFC Leopards, on Sunday, 7 December at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Morrison's crash follows another accident that occurred on Friday, 28 November, where Austin Odhiambo, Fidel Origa, Joshua Onyango and Felix Oluoch were involved in a minor collision on their way to training.

K’Ogalo were forced to cancel their Friday training after the incident as the team visited the quartet in the hospital. The four were treated for minor injuries and discharged.

The club has since revealed that all four are back in full training ahead of the crucial fixture as Gor Mahia aim to firm their grip at the summit of the log.

Should Morrison fail to recover before the Sunday afternoon clash, head coach Charles Akonnor will resort to his rich-squad depth for a replacement, with Origa and Kenya international Lawrence Juma the top contenders for a place in the starting 11.

Still on the derby, Gor Mahia, who are the home team, have released the ticket prices for the fixture.

Regular tickets are retailing at Ksh300, VIP at Ksh1000, while fans who prefer the ambience of VVIP will have to part with Ksh5000. Tickets are available online at langopass.com.
