
Anthony Akhulia lauds his charges after slaying Bandari in league action

Bidco United head coach Antony Akhulia was left impressed by his charges for their defensive discipline in their 2-0 conquest over Bandari FC in a league action staged on Monday at Kasarani Annex.
Goals from former Soy United winger Shariff Musa and Thomas Wainaina were all enough for the Thika based club to stun the coast-based outfit resulting in dismissal of Twahir Muhiddin.
" We conceded easy goals against Nairobi City Stars but the boys played according to the plan on Monday and it worked out very well against Bandari, " said Akhulia.
The youthful expert was pleased that his players executed his instructions to the letter, which left them with three points at the end.
"We knew Bandari will come with a high paced game so we decided to sit back and hit them on set pieces and quick breakers which worked for us., " he added.
"If you look, all the balls that went into our attacking third were very dangerous balls and then we scored two goals in the first half that had us switch off to defensive approach and it worked perfectly. "
The tactician who elevated Bidco to the Football Kenya Federation Premier League, applauded the performances of Sharif Musa, Chris Opondo and Erick Michubu noting that they had improved display different from the precious outings and that they may have influenced the match tremendously.
He also noted that in spite of having a youthful side they want to improve from their 13th place finish last term and get at least a top eight finish.
"We promised at the start of the season that we now want time be competitors and not participants as it has been before, so a top eight finish will be an achievement with this young team, " he concluded.

They will entertain debutants Murang'a Seal at home after the break.
