
Behind the numbers: AFC Leopards disclose gate collections from Mashemeji Derby

Leopards enjoyed the biggest fans' turn out last season and the club faithful once again turned out in good numbers on Saturday for the Mashemeji Derby
AFC Leopards have revealed the club collected approximately Ksh 2,838,300 following Saturday's Mashemeji Derby at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
The 94th edition of the derby saw Ingwe succumb to yet another 2-0 defeat to their bitter rivals Gor Mahia

The attendance was positive just like the previous bouts with the hype before the match appearing to have yielded fruits with fans thronging the stadium to catch up the thrilling encounter.
Leopards have now made known the figures from the action-packed match. A total of 12,172 tickets were sold with a magnitude of them being the regular once that went for Ksh 300 and Ksh 200 on flash sale, a total of 666 VIP tickets trading at 500 and VVIP 60 match passes going at Ksh 1000 each were sold.
From the terrace's match passes, the team got a whopping Ksh 2,445,300 while the VIP gave Ksh 333,000 with the VVIP yielding Ksh 60,000. In total the big cats got Ksh 2,838,300.
This was one of the highest turn out witnessed since the start of the season and the second match Ingwe were were using the digital ticketing system successfully.
The Leopards who are yet to win a match since the start of the season are expected to squire it out against Bandari FC immediately after the international break.
