Bidco defeated Gor Mahia on matchday one but missed matchday two after their scheduled fixture against Kenya Police FC was postponed, as Police were on continental duty.
Naibois, on the other hand, were engaged in CAF Confederation Cup assignments in the first two rounds and only began their league campaign on matchday three, claiming a 1–0 away win over Mara Sugar last Wednesday.
The Murang’a contest will be the first-ever competitive league meeting between the two sides.
Bidco are determined to avoid another relegation battle after struggling last season, while Nairobi have set ambitious targets for their debut top-flight season after winning the Mozzart Bet Cup while still in the second tier.
Bidco coach Anthony Akhulia expects a tough but exciting contest.
“It is a tough and unpredictable game, and that is exactly what makes it so exciting,” he said.
He praised Nairobi’s quality, pointing to their recent success.
“We are up against a team competing in the CAF Confederation Cup, a feat they earned on merit. They began their league campaign with an away win over Mara Sugar, and by every measure they are a strong side.”
On his own team, Akhulia remains confident despite limited league action so far.
“We have been preparing well since our last league outing, sharpening ourselves with friendly matches, and I believe we are ready to compete. The boys will step onto the pitch determined to give their very best.”
Nairobi United coach Nicholas Muyoti has emphasized a calm and measured approach.
“Our target is to take it one game at a time. We cannot look too far ahead. Competing in three tournaments means our concentration must remain high. We will manage the squad carefully to avoid fatigue and approach every game to win,” he said.
A closely fought battle is expected in Murang’a as both teams push for momentum early in the season. Kick-off is at 3:00 pm.
