To demonstrate this, Lopaga dedicated his first goal of the 2025-2026 FKF Premier League season to kids from the bandit-hit Baragoi, Samburu County.
Lopaga needed only three minutes to score the winner when Homeboyz battled Sofapaka last Friday at Dandora Stadium.
His strike was enough to hand the 2023 Mozzart Bet Cup champions their first win of the campaign, having played Mara Sugar to a barren draw in the opening round.
Speaking after the match, the former Posta Rangers striker revealed why his goal is special.
“I came from Baragoi, and that's why people call me Baragoi. It is a place known for banditry, so it is a pleasure to come from there and not only play in the FKFPL but also score,” he opened up.
Baragoi is a rugged town between the east of Maralal town and the east of Suguta Valley in Samburu County.
The Samburu North town borders Turkana County, with two local communities constantly engaging in banditry.
The 23-year-old went ahead to explain what his goal and top-tier status mean to the kids in that region.
“It is a motivation to the young kids back at home and in Samburu County. When they see me play, it shows them that they can also engage in the game and make it to this level and beyond,” he added.
Lopaga joined Homeboyz in the off-season transfer window as a free agent from Belarus club Dynamo Brest
He signed alongside former KCB striker Derrick Otanga to fill in the void left by Harambee Stars forward Moses Shummah, who crossed over to Zambian side Power Dynamos.
