Gor Mahia head coach Mark Harrison has come out to clear the air on the future of Boniface Oluoch at the club after the experienced goalkeeper was spotted training with the team.
Harrison maintains that the seasoned goalkeeper is part of the team and falls in his plans and his presence injects competition in the department that boasts of having four shot stoppers.
Oluoch came under intense criticism in the initial stages of last season and would later disappear in thin air casting doubt over his future at the club that he has served for more than six seasons.
The former Kenyan international's shoes would be filled by Gad Mathews who arrived at the club last year from National Super League side Kisumu All Stars with Samuel Njau and the budding Caleb Otieno in contention for the starting berth. Njau who made good use of the playing time in the closing stages of the past campaign has since moved to Posta Rangers.
Oluoch who early this year rubbished reports that he had ditched the club and proceeded on retirement made his way back to the team and was part of the squad that played Murang'a Seal in a friendly match last week.

Harrison says the availability of Oluoch in the team is significant courtesy of his experience and will hold the rest of the custodian's hands. The club has signed Malian goalkeeper Adama Keita in the ongoing transfer window, a development that has not sat well with the 'Gren Army' who feel that there was experience and depth in the department.
"Boniface is part and parcel of the team. I have four goalkeepers in the team and all have a role to play including the young one," he revealed.
With Gor preparing for their CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary game against Al Ahly Merowe of Sudan, Oluoch will watch the proceedings from the stands as he was slapped with a four match ban by the continental body.
The former Tusker man alongside the former skipper Kenneth Muguna who has since moved to Tanzanian side Azam were found guilty of harassing match officials last season after Gor's bitter loss to Zambia's Napsa Stars.

The two apparently reacted aggressively after the relegated Zambian side was gifted a penalty in the dying seconds of the return game that was converted and were subsequently tossed out of the tournament. The duo were further fined Ksh 1.6 million.
