Murunga, on the other hand, picked up an ankle injury during a training sessions, forcing him to undergo plastering procedure to correct the damage.

During their absence, coach Patrick Odhiambo’s men displayed impressive consistency, collecting crucial points that propelled them to the top of the standings.

Homeboyz went on a four-match unbeaten streak, recording consecutive wins over Ulinzi Stars, Bidco United, and APS Bomet, before being held to a 1-1 draw by Tusker FC last weekend.

The results propelled Homeboyz leading the 18-team table with 14 points after seven rounds of fixtures.

Mudavadi has resumed full training with the main squad, while Murunga continues light individual sessions as he works his way back to full fitness.

The club confirmed the positive update through their social media accounts.

Their return comes at a crucial time for Odhiambo, who will be eager to see his charges bounce back to winning ways after last week’s draw halted their three-match winning run.

The availability of the influential pair is expected to strengthen the team’s depth as Homeboyz aim to widen their lead and maintain their pursuit of a historic maiden FKF-PL title.
