Kenya Police Bullets head coach, David Bujego, has disclosed that the team is already preparing for the CAF Women's Champions League CECAFA qualifiers despite not having won the league.

The Law Enforcers are currently at the summit of the FKF Women's Premier League (WPL) table with 46 points, two more than Ulinzi Starlets.

Police could extend their lead if they win their game in hand.

Police are on the verge of winning their third consecutive league title in as many seasons in the top flight.

While that is a big achievement, the club is already plotting for bigger things.

After two failed attempts to clinch the CAF Women's CECAFA title, they have their eyes set on the regional championship.

Coach Bujego says he will be using the remainder of the season to prepare her girls for the regional title.

We will continue fighting. We have one hand already on the trophy, but we have to finish the job first. At the same time, we will also be using the remaining matches as preparation for the CECAFA Challenge, where we will have to do better than we did this season. That is our main objective,” said Bujego.

For defender Elizabeth Ochaka, there is no dropping of guards in their quest for the league title.

The game was good, and we are grateful for the three points. We are taking one game at a time and therefore shift focus to our match against Trinity. We are yet to win the league,” said Ochaka.

Police will take their title hunt to Gilgil, where they will face Trinity Starlets on Saturday, 9 May at the Comboni Polytechnic Grounds.
