Kingsley Koman will be fined 50.000 euros for not driving the company car
Kingsley Koman can’t come off the headlines these days, and for all the wrong reasons. The French winger is a regular in the Bayern Munich team and is in great form, but first, he refused to sign a new contract with the Bavarians (that was just the first offer) and how he has to pay 50.000 euros for turning at the training ground with a wrong car.
„The customer is always right“ is the famous slogan which can be used here as well. Because if the „customer“ is famous car manufacturer Audi, and he gives Bayern a deal worth 50 million euros a year, then the Bavarians will fine anyone who is against the customer. This time it was Koman, who arrived at the training ground in a massive Merzedes jeep and was not allowed to enter the ground by security guards, and had to park his car on the sidewalk before entering the building. Bayern's sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic banned players arriving at training in their own personal vehicles in January 2020. What’s even worse is that Koman did this before, having been pictured arriving for training in his McLaren Spider rather than his Audi.
This sponsorship is so important to Bayern that the French winger had to make a public apology:
"I would like to apologize to the club and Audi for not having come to training in my company car. The reason was a damaged wing mirror on my Audi. Still, that was a mistake, of course, I can see that. As a reparation, I will visit the Audi plant in Ingolstadt for an autograph hour as soon as possible and bring some attention to the employees" said Koman to Bild.
Boy, you can’t even drive a car you like. The footballer's life is not easy indeed….
