A source close to the development confirmed the move, stating:
“It is true Messi has left Kibera Black Stars and is preparing for a move abroad. We are waiting to receive his visa, then the process can be completed.”
Onyango made his debut for Kibera Black Stars on 1 December against Kabati Youth, coming on in the 73rd minute as his side edged the match 1-0.
He wasted little time making an impact, scoring his first senior goal just seven days later in a 2-1 win over Mwatate United at Gems Cambridge.
The youngster went on to feature in more than 10 league matches, scoring four goals and providing three assists in an impressive debut campaign.
Highly rated within the club, Onyango has been tipped for a bright future, with his explosiveness on the right flank, close control under pressure, and ability to drift into central playmaking areas, marking him out as one of the most exciting young prospects.
He is expected to link up with FC Mamer 32 for training ahead of the transfer window, which opens on June 1, as he prepares to take the next big step in his career.
