Both teams went into the match on a poor run of form, Posta having lost their last four including three in the league, while Bidco had not tasted victory in their past five matches, that included three consecutive defeats.

Posta began the match on a high note, dominating the opening minutes and creating half chances in the first five minutes through Jackson Macharia and Caleb Olilo, but with no goal in those opening five minutes.

The Mailmen then took the lead in the 12th minute when Macharia floated in a long ball that was pounced on by Lewis Shivachi, who directed his shot into the back of the net.

The Collins 'Korea' Omondi-coached side had another chance at the half-hour mark, but Macharia directed his shot over the bar.

Bidco, on the other hand, were struggling to create chances, with their route of direct and long balls to Samuel Onyango dealt with well by Faustine Ojiambo, as Posta took a 1-0 lead to the break.

In the second half, The Oilers returned with more urgency, pushing numbers forward, moving the ball quickly with good combinations of attacking passes especially between Onyango and Emmanuel Nyabuti.

Posta, on the other hand, resorted to a mid-low block in a bid to protect their lead and end their four-match winless streak.

With full time approaching, Bidco received a lifeline in the 90th minute, Marvin Amuka pouncing on a ball in the box and directing it past Peter Odhiambo and into the back of the net.

Both teams tried to push for another goal in the added minutes, but none could find it by the time the referee blew the final whistle.

Posta remain 13th on the league table with 32 points, while Bidco stare at relegation as they sit 17th on the log with 23 points.
