Kenyan giants Gor Mahia make a return to the FKF Premier League after a week-long rest due to their inactivity in match week 21 midweek fixtures.
K’Ogalo will kickstart match week 22 fixtures with a match against 2008 league champions Mathare United at the Nyayo National Stadium from 1615 hrs in what is the only league action of the day.
Ahead of today's clash, Gor Mahia are still at the summit of the league table with 46 points, six more than their arch-rivals AFC Leopards and Shabana at second and third respectively.
On the other side of the table, 2009 league champions Sofapaka are at the bottom of the log with 14 points and are joined in the relegation zone by Bidco United and APS Bomet with 17 and 19 points respectively.
Gor Mahia head into the match in great form, having won all of their last six matches - the longest run in the league this season and are unbeaten in their last 11 matches.
It is this form that sees them enjoy a six-point lead at the summit, and for the first time this season, K’Ogalo will have an opportunity to extend their lead to nine points, at least before Leopards and Shabana lock horns on Sunday 1 March.
The Slum Boys are 11th with 26 points following a run of mixed results in their past 10 matches, including three wins and four losses.
Gor Mahia have proven to be lethal in attack this season, and have scored the most number of goals, 36 including 16 in their past six games, equal to what Mathare has scored the entire season.
Mathare United goalkeeper Kevin Ouru believes that his team has an advantage over the 21-time record league champions.

“We are in a better position than Gor because we played in midweek, and the events are still fresh in our minds and will help us to push more, unlike them who have not played for a whole week.
Nevertheless, the game will be won on mistakes. The team that punishes the opponent's mistake will carry the day,” Ouru told the club’s media.
When the two sides met in the first leg, Gor Mahia snatched a 2-0 victory from Mathare courtesy of goals from Shariff Musa and Bryson Wangai.
