Sources say current broadcaster Azam is keen to have the game on FTA as a marketing tool
Kenya football is set make a big score as FKF Premier League matches will be on Free To Air (FTA) channels including Facebook and YouTube from the 2025/26 season.
The Kenyan top tier has not been on FTA since the end of the deal between the league and Spanish top tier La Liga through Media Pro in 2019.

Since the exit of Media Pro, the Kenyan league was off air until Azam TV signed a deal in August 2023 to air the Kenyan top tier, a deal that is ongoing albeit on subscription based.
As first revealed by renowned sports photojournalist, Vincent Ooro through his X (formerly Twitter) account, Azam is set to take the game on FTA.
“Azam TV to put Free To Air (FTA) FKFPL Matches on YouTube and Facebook from next season,” posted Ooro.
Additionally, Mozzart Sport has reliably confirmed that the development is true and that the media house is keen to have the game on FTA as a way of building publicity for the game and marketing the brand.

Azam, who have been producing the Kenyan league through two Outside Broadcasting (OB) vans, are in the final stages of acquiring the third OB van for the Kenyan league, primarily for the FTA games.
This development is part of the recent developments in Kenyan football that go a long way in not only restoring its glory but also taking it to the next level.
With increased visibility, it will be easier for the players to be scouted and for the league to attract more sponsorships among other benefits.
Further, Azam also acquired the rights to air the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) on subscription based with FTA rights won by national broadcaster, Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).
The 2025/26 FKF Premier League will kick off on Saturday 20 September 2025, a delay occasioned by the 2024 CHAN.
Even with the national team participating in CHAN, clubs have already resumed training, sharpening their skills ahead of the new season
