The Harambee Stars forward had been sidelined for months after undergoing surgery to correct a persistent knee problem that had threatened to cut short his debut campaign at K’Ogalo.
Initially diagnosed with patellar tendinopathy, further medical assessment later revealed a more serious osteochondral injury alongside a torn meniscus, forcing the former Posta Rangers talisman to undergo surgery in March.
At the time, the operation was expected to keep the attacker out for up to 12 weeks, effectively ruling him out for the remainder of the season.
However, in a major turnaround, the forward has made a quicker-than-expected recovery and has now resumed training with the squad ahead of the decisive final stretch of the campaign.
Confirming the development through their social media pages, Gor Mahia welcomed the attacker back to training.
“Felix Oluoch is back at the training ground after a successful recovery from surgery. He’s just checking your missed calls. Welcome back.”
Oluoch’s return hands coach Charles Akonor a full-strength squad at a crucial point of the season, with the club now facing no major injury concerns heading into the final month of the title race.
Before his setback, the former Bandari and Kariobangi Sharks striker had enjoyed an impressive start to life at Gor Mahia after joining at the beginning of the campaign.

He managed seven league goals in 17 appearances, a tally that still leaves him as the club’s top scorer with only four matches remaining.
His comeback could prove vital for the record league champions, who have recently struggled for goals despite maintaining their position at the summit of the table.
Surprisingly, Gor has managed just one goal in their last five league matches, with that solitary strike coming in their victory over arch-rivals AFC Leopards in the Mashemeji Derby by Alpha Onyango.
The poor scoring run had begun to raise concerns over their title charge and fears of an unlikely trophyless campaign, but Oluoch’s return now offers renewed attacking impetus at a critical stage of the season.
The Gor currently sits atop the FKF Premier League standings with 64 points, nine ahead of second-placed AFC Leopards, as Akonor’s side edges closer to yet another domestic crown in ending a rare trophy drought last campaign.
