For every futile Milan, there's their even more impotent city rival: Inter win a single point at Genoa

This is frustrating, init? The Serie A hotshots are dropping points round by round

Ok, it ain't funny anymore. Milan-based giants succumb to frustration for two rounds in a row due to major upsets that were anything but planned. After the previous round, we analyzed Internazionale's and AC Milan's shortcomings and were sure we won't see any new ones any time sooner. How wrong we were...

Firstly, Milan dropped points against modest Udinese at home, and shortly after, their city rivals slipped at Genoa, another team from the Serie A table downtown.

It was another frustrating performance of Simone Inzaghi's slot, incapable of winning the match ever since mid-January. Two domestic losses, along with two draws and that excruciating UCL defeat to Liverpool, are the summary of Inter's awful February. And Genoa draw is just the cherry on top of it.

It was a goalless draw due to less than a few promising goal-scoring opportunities on both ends. And if that sort of display is expected for the strugglers, it's disappointing to see such an impotent attacking approach of the holders.

Only four shots on target for the entire 90 minutes are not enough to secure a win that could have made them neck on neck with Milan with a game in hand over their rival.
