The club confirmed the acquisition on its official social media platforms on Wednesday, welcoming the forward to K'Ogalo while teasing the beginning of a new goalscoring chapter.
"𝐈𝐓’𝐒 𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋: Paul Okoth from Ulinzi Stars is GREEN… the scoring journey brings him to the record 22-time champions," the club announced.
Okoth becomes Gor Mahia's second official signing of the current transfer window following the arrival of experienced right-back Daniel Sakari from Kenya Police FC, underlining the club's intent to assemble a squad capable of competing on multiple fronts next season.
The lanky forward joins Gor Mahia after an outstanding individual campaign with four-time league champions Ulinzi Stars, where he established himself among the FKF Premier League's deadliest finishers.
The former Migori Youth striker finished second in the Golden Boot race after netting an impressive 18 league goals, just one behind eventual winner Joe Waithera, who claimed the award with 19 strikes.
His goals proved instrumental in helping Ulinzi Stars steer clear of relegation and retain their top-flight status in what was otherwise a challenging season for the Soldiers.
His arrival is expected to address one of Gor Mahia's biggest shortcomings from last season—a lack of cutting edge in front of goal.
Despite mounting a strong title challenge, the record-extending 22nd league champions struggled for consistency in attack, with their leading scorer managing only seven league goals, highlighting the need for a proven finisher.
Okoth's movement, aerial presence and eye for goal are expected to provide the attacking spark Gor Mahia lacked as they seek to reclaim domestic dominance.
The club's transfer business is, however, far from complete. The Charles Akannor-coached side are expected to unveil goalkeeper Humphrey Katasi from arch-rivals AFC Leopards, goalkeeper Michael Onyango from Equity Bank FC, forward David Okoth from Kenya Police FC and Nairobi United's Most Valuable Player (MVP) Enock Machaka.
The expected arrivals reflect Gor Mahia's determination to build a deeper and more competitive squad ahead of a demanding 2026/27 campaign that will see them challenge for the FKFPL title defence, the Mozzart Bet Cup and a return to continental football in the CAF Champions League.
