Winners of Tusker FC's end of season awards announced after Mozzart Bet Cup success

Following a remarkable campaign, Fabian Adikiny has been crowned Tusker FC's Player of the Season during the club's end-of-season gala held in Nairobi on Thursday evening.

Adikiny, who recently signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2028, capped off an impressive individual campaign by also taking home the Midfielder of the Season award.
While Tusker endured a disappointing FKF Premier League campaign, finishing ninth, they salvaged their season by lifting the Mozzart Bet Cup.
The Brewers secured a place in next season's CAF Confederation Cup after edging Kenya Police FC 2-1 in the final in Kwale.
The club celebrated the cup triumph at the gala, where players and staff were recognised for their performances throughout the season.
Captain Charles Momanyi was named Defender of the Season, while Eric Kapaito finished as the club's Top Scorer.
Ian Simiyu collected the Forward of the Season award, Pavelh Ndzila won the Golden Glove Award, Francis Oduor was recognised as the Most Improved Player, Thomas Teka received the Most Disciplined Player award, and Eugene Ikutwa was named Young Player of the Season.
Ibrahim Joshua won the Goal of the Season award for his strike against Kakamega Homeboyz.
In the youth categories, Dennis Chimamo was named Youth Team MVP, while Sweaney Odhiambo scooped the Associate Women's Team MVP award.
During the gala, Tusker also confirmed the appointment of Nick Kimanthi as the club's new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Sam Nzau, who left the position earlier this year.
Kimanthi is a sports data analysis specialist, serves as Harambee Stars team manager and is also a member of the Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT).
Club chairman Charles Gacheru further revealed that Tusker had received an invitation to participate in this year's CECAFA Kagame Cup, scheduled to kick off in Rwanda on Saturday, 18 July. He said the club would deliberate on the invitation before making a final decision.
