Manchester City's Jack Grealish is close to agreeing on a season-long loan to Everton.
According to The Athletic, the Toffees have opened talks with the Etihad side over a potential move to sign Grealish, who made only 20 Premier League appearances in the entire 2024-25 season, providing one goal and one assist.
The 29-year-old midfielder - who joined the Cityzens for a club record fee of £100 million in 2021 - has been struggling for a while when it comes to a place in Pep Guardiola's side.
He was restricted to just seven EPL starts during the last season, and lost his once-crucial role among the Skyblues.
"I'm the person who fought for him to come here and the person who fought for him to stay here this season and the next season," Pep Guardiola said when asked about Grealish's status recently. "I'm the one who said I want Jack Grealish. What happens in the future is a job for Txiki (Begiristain, City's director of football), Hugo (Viana, the club's sporting director) and the agents."
As things stand, the deal between Everton and Manchester City is "considered complicated and at this stage there are no guarantees it will materialise, but discussions are happening over the England international", as per The Athletic.
