Challenges are what make the planet move around.
And Mason Greenwood has just found himself a new one at the age of 23 - to switch allegiance and return to international football by representing Jamaica.
The former Manchester United forward has been granted citizenship and given a Jamaican passport.
He has not played an international match since his only England cap against Iceland in September 2020.
Having secured a Jamaican passport, only a change from the Football Association (FA) to the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) is required for Greenwood to be cleared to feature in next month's World Cup qualifiers against Bermuda and Trinidad and Tobago.
Greenwood left Manchester United two years ago, after charges against him, including attempted rape and assault, were dropped. He joined Getafe on loan before permanently moving to Olympique Marseille in 2024 permanently.
Jamaica, who are looking to qualify for their only second-ever World Cup appearance, are managed by former England boss Steve McClaren. His idea is to recruit UK-raised players through their family links.
