The former Tusker FC striker sealed a move to Austrian outfit Wolfsberger AC on Monday, 1 September, following an impressive outing in the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) that was played in August.

The CHAN performance followed an outstanding season in the FKF Premier League, where he scored 15 goals in 17 matches before his season was disrupted by a lengthy stay on the sidelines with injury.

The 20-year-old is now relishing his new challenge, well aware that the whole country is keeping an eye on him.

“This is a massive dream come true for me, and I am really excited to finally be here. I know the task ahead is huge, and I feel honoured to have the responsibility of flying the Kenyan flag high.

I am looking forward to the challenge and I am ready for it,” Ogam told Telecomasia.net.

Ogam, who was playing as a defensive midfielder just two years ago for the now-defunct Rainbow FC, has had a meteoric rise in his new forward role and is hoping to carry on his rich vein of form in European football.

"I am excited to start training with the rest of the team, immerse myself in the culture, and start playing football. My ambition is to settle in quickly, perform well, and keep scoring goals to help the team achieve its targets,” he added.

In a recent interview with Citizen TV, the youngster, whose father, David Rabok, is a former Gor Mahia defender, already laid down this season’s target.

“My target is to score 10 or more goals this season. I want to start my career in Austria on a high, and I am excited to give everything for my new club,” he said.

Apart from his CHAN performance, the versatile forward endeared himself to Harambee Stars supporters after scoring Kenya’s consolation goal in the 3-1 loss to The Gambia and a brace against Seychelles during the last 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
