Harambee Stars striker Moses Shumah continued his impressive scoring run in the Zambian Super League after netting his seventh goal of the season in Power Dynamos’ 2-0 victory over Mutondo Stars on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
Despite being denied penalty-taking duties for the second time this campaign, the Kenyan forward still found his way onto the scoresheet in a match where Dynamos asserted their dominance.
The hosts opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark through Ayodeji Bamidele, who calmly converted from the spot after Brian Masajigwa was fouled inside the area.
Shumah came close to doubling his tally at the turn of the hour after beating his marker with a sharp turn, but his effort flew narrowly over the bar.
Nevertheless, the striker remained a constant threat, leading the line with authority and linking play effectively.
Fellow Kenyan international Emmanuel Osoro also featured in the contest, coming on as a second-half substitute.
Osoro nearly marked his appearance with an assist after delivering a teasing cross that striker Kapembwa Musonda almost turned into the net.
The result keeps Power Dynamos firmly on course in domestic competition as head coach Oswald Mutapa now turns attention to a demanding run of fixtures across league and continental action.
Dynamos will host a league match on Wednesday, 14 January, before travelling to face arch-rivals Zesco United on Sunday, January 18, at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
Beyond domestic duty, the club also faces a crucial double-header against Rivers United in the CAF Champions League before the end of the month.
The encounters are must-win as Dynamos seek to revive their continental campaign.
The Zambian champions are still searching for their first win in the CAF Champions League, having collected no points so far in Group A, where they trail joint leaders Pyramids FC and RS Berkane by six points.
On a personal level, Shumah has enjoyed a strong start to the 2025 season, emerging as one of Dynamos’ most reliable attacking outlets.
His standout moments include a brace against Napasa Stars and a crucial strike against Vipers SC during the second preliminary round of CAF inter-club competition.
