Kenyan forward Silko Thomas Otieno has completed his move to English League One side Wycombe Wanderers, this after walking away from Championship club Leicester City as a free-agent.

Thomas was unveiled by The Chairboys on Wednesday, 15 July, having put pen to paper on his contract at Marlow Road on Tuesday afternoon, after completing his medical.
The club, however, did not mention the length of the contract.

The development ends what had been a puzzling few days for Thomas, who earlier this week decided to walk away from a contract-extension from his previous club Leicester City.
As per sources close to the club, Thomas decided against committing his future with the Foxes for a new challenge, despite having a new offer on the table, and being part of the club’s end-of-season retained list.
A report indicated that the former Chelsea Academy player was attracting offers from a League One club, and it is now official that the team was Wycombe Wanderers.
There, Thomas is said to be chasing game-time, which close parties indicate was limited at Leicester last season.
After spending a significant time of his 2024-2025 season away on loan at Wigan Athletic, Thomas played 17 times in the Championship last season, scoring just once.
At Wycombe, he now hopes to step to another level.
"Silko is an exciting young attacking player who can play across all three positions at the top end of the pitch," Wycombe Wanderers Director of Football Strategy and Data Intelligence Tom Stockwell said. "He has fantastic pace and can carry the ball past opponents or break the back line with a run in behind. He has huge potential, and we are sure Silko can have immediate impact.
We look forward to seeing him develop at Wycombe and he's been straight down to work after linking up with the team this morning."
Wycombe’s other signings this offseason include: Cauley Woodrow, Steve Cook, Matt Macey, and Conor Hazard.
