Harambee Stars forward Benson Omalla has parted ways with Cambodian Premier League side Visakha FC, just five months after joining the Phnom Penh-based club.
Omalla had signed a three-year deal with Visakha on 5 July, following the expiration of his short contract with Kenyan record league champions Gor Mahia FC.

In an update on their official Facebook page on Tuesday, 16 December, Visakha expressed gratitude for the striker’s contributions and wished him well in his future endeavours.
"Thank you, player Benson Ochieng, for your hard work and dedication in helping our club over the past period.
We wish Benson the very best of luck and continued success in his career going forward," the club posted.
During his brief stint, the 2023/24 FKF Premier League 'Golden Boot' winner, who scored 19 goals for Gor Mahia last season, made eight league appearances for Visakha, finding the back of the net three times.
This marks Omalla’s third challenging experience abroad.
He previously had a stint in Sweden, joining FC Linköping City on loan in 2021, and later moved to Lebanese side Al-Safa SC in August 2024.
His tenure in Lebanon was cut short in early 2025 due to contract termination, citing unpaid wages and the suspension of the Lebanese Premier League amid war.
He subsequently returned to Gor Mahia midway through the 2024/25 season, which ended trophyless for the club after failing to defend the league, which was ultimately won by Kenya Police, while falling to Nairobi United 2-1 in the Mozzart Bet Cup final in that same year.
In February 2024 too, Benson Omalla’s attempt to secure a long-term move to Algerian side JS Saoura failed to materialise after Gor Mahia reportedly delayed finalising and submitting the transfer paperwork, causing the deal to collapse.
The former Western Stima and Gor Mahia talisman, who honed his football roots at Kisumu Day, has been back in Kenya keeping fit alongside a select group of unattached league players.
