To make matters worse for the Turkish side, Victor Osimhen fractured his forearm and will most likely have to undergo surgery

Last night at Anfield, we saw some gruesome scenes - and no, we're not talking about Galatasaray's devastating 4-0 defeat to Liverpool, which could have been even worse.

We're talking about a couple of severe injuries that could hurt the Turkish side even more than the elimination from the Champions League.

Namely, Galatasaray winger Noa Lang, who joined the club as a massive reinforcement on loan from Napoli, almost lost his thumb 34 minutes after coming off the bench during the half-time break.

Following one, at the first glance harmless situation, the Dutchman collided with an ad board and sustained a deep and severe laceration, nearly cutting off half of his thumb!

Once he realized what had happened, Lang screamed in agony. Galatasaray's medical staff reacted quickly and even had to give oxygen to the 26-year-old before he was stretchered off the pitch and taken to the hospital.

Later, his club released an official statement, revealing that he had to undergo urgent surgery in Liverpool.

To make matters worse for the Turks, they seem to have lost Victor Osimhen as well. The Nigerian played only 45 minutes last night, being forced to stay in the locker room at the break.

He reportedly suffered a forearm fracture, and his state will probably require surgery, too.

Hence, Okan Buruk may await the finish of the title race in the Turkish Super Lig without two extremely important players, making the defeat at Anfield the least concerning aspect of the clash against Liverpool.
