Morocco qualified for the finals after eliminating a stubborn Ghana side on post match penalties.

The two sides battled to a 1-1 draw both in regular time, and with none of the teams able to score in extra time, the game was decided on penalties with Morocco winning 4-2.

The North African nation will be banking on their home advantage which they have maximized on to help them reach the finals, and will once again be crucial if the trophy is to remain in Morocco.

However, coach Jorge Vilda will be concerned that his side has only kept one clean sheet so far in the tournament, and must up their game in order to stop a lethal Nigerian side.

For Nigeria, they have established themselves as the favourites by producing outstanding performances, and will be keen to finish the job against the North Africans.

A 94th minute strike by right back Michelle Alozie was enough to confirm a 2-1 win over South Africa and see Nigeria through to the finals.

Rasheedat Adibaje had scored from the spot in the 45th minute to give Nigeria a half time lead, but Linda Motihalo drew parity through the spot in the hour-mark for what was the first goal conceded by Nigeria in the tournament.

Nigeria’s defense will be once again expected to stop a Morocco side backed by the home support to achieve the WAFCON title.

Kenyan referee Josephine Wanjiku is set to officiate the clash, serving as the fourth official.

In the third place playoff match played on Friday night, Ghana claimed victory over South Africa to seal a third place finish.

After a 1-1 draw in regular time, Ghana won on penalties, as they recovered from missing the first kick to emerge 4-3 victors.
