How Chelsea "tricked" Rosenior: Instead of £24 million, he'll earn six times less

After throwing away a fortune on sacked managers in the last couple of years, the Blues have apparently learned their lesson at last
The moment Chelsea announced that they fired Liam Rosenior, the public went wild, but not over the club's future or the tactician's successor, but over a completely different matter: How much will the sacked manager earn?
The 40-year-old took over the Blues in January, signing a six-year deal worth £4 million per season. Therefore, the math was clear, and the headlines stating that Chelsea owed the manager £24 million wrote themselves.
After all, we've learned from experience that Todd Boehly and Co. have been rather generous with sacked coaches. Only in the last three and a half years, the London club threw away a fortune - £36 million, to be precise - after firing Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, Mauricio Pochettino, and Enzo Maresca.
Nevertheless, the Blues have apparently learned their lesson, as they included a so-called "termination/break clause" into Rosenior's deal, according to which they are obliged to pay "only" £4 million to the strategist, instead of the initially mentioned six times higher sum.
Chelsea will pay Liam Rosenior £4MILLION, thanks to a break clause in his six-and-a-half year £24million contract:

All in all, Chelsea got off lightly financially when it came to the manager's departure. However, the result-wise price may be much greater, as the Blues are in free fall towards the mid-table finish in the Premier League.
Who'll have the guts to succeed Rosenior in this highly difficult moment and take over a team in turmoil?
