It's not hard being a footballer and studying – especially when someone else is taking exams for you

Egyptian forward Mostafa Mohamed had a friend take a computer science exam while he was busy at the AFCON

You can't be at two places at the same time – and you needn't be a computer scientist to know that. But Egypt and Galatasaray star Mostafa Mohamed apparently doesn't grasp this simple truth. His friend has been arrested after going to university and taking a computing exam in place of the famous footballer.

The 24-year-old player obviously didn't realize that it could be suspicious that a player has been both at Egypt and Cameroon at the same time. Ooops!

The shamed forward is studying for an Information Technology qualification at the Higher Institute for Management and Information Technology in Giza. He had been due to sit mid-year exams in January, but as he is currently competing at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, he was unable to attend.

And he found a "genius" solution – finding a competent stand-in who would take the exam and pass it for him.

The arrested man presented his feeble defence, saying that he was only helping a friend. Egyptian newspaper Youm7 reported that there have been at least three exams taken by the imposter. The stand-in has been taken in by police for questioning and is reported to have told authorities that he had agreed on a plan with Mohamed before he left for AFCON.

The investigation authorities also questioned the staff at the institute to find out how the accused entered to take the exam instead of the player.
