It's not over until it's over - Onyango believes Gor can still win the FKFPL title

Gor Mahia midfielder Samuel Onyango has termed their fiendish clash against Tusker as a six-pointer as both clubs hope to apply pressure on runaway log leaders Kakamega Homeboyz.

The Brewers and K’Ogalo settled for a barren draw last time out that was littered with controversy after the referee chalked off Tusker’s stoppage-time goal.

The former Ulinzi Stars midfielder admitted that K’Ogalo will face an uphill battle to beat Tusker and labeled the clash a six-pointer.

“Judging from how the first leg was played the game will be very tough, it will be like a final and the players will go all out against Tusker. The team that wins the game wins six points because we are competing with them at the top of the table and it's a game we cannot afford to lose,” said Onyango.

The former Sony Sugar midfielder suffered an injury in the game against Robert Matano’s boys but could face a late fitness test to feature in the clash.

Onyango emphasized the importance of winning the clash after going for four games without managing a win with the last victory coming back in 2019.

“If we win the game we will have achieved our goal and for now we only have victory in our sights,” added Onyango.
