The Kenya Footballers Welfare Association (KEFWA) has announced a groundbreaking partnership with New Hera International and Footballer Life, marking a major step towards empowering Kenyan footballers on and off the pitch.

The unveiling event, attended by KEFWA president James Situma, vice president Terry Ouko, and secretary general Dan Makori, brought together representatives from football clubs across the country to witness this transformative collaboration.

Representing the partner organizations were Marti Torres from Footballer Life and Simiyu from New Hera International. The two demonstrated their commitment to grassroots development by donating footballs to club representatives and guiding the onboarding of players and coaches onto the Footballer Life platform, a digital ecosystem connecting footballers, coaches, and academies to a global network of opportunities.

Under the new partnership, Footballer Life will offer a digital platform where players can showcase their talent, access educational tools, and connect with verified international opportunities. New Hera International will focus on sports management, career development, and creating educational and job pathways for athletes transitioning beyond their playing careers.

KEFWA president Situma described the partnership as “a game-changer for Kenyan footballers,” adding that “our mission has always been to secure the welfare and growth of players, and this partnership opens new doors to global exposure, empowerment, and opportunity.”

The initiative reinforces KEFWA’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding player welfare and building a sustainable ecosystem that supports both the professional and personal development of footballers in Kenya.
