Robert Lewandowski is increasingly being linked with Saudi clubs. However, it won’t be that easy if you ask his teammates — especially Lamine Yamal

Saudi Arabian clubs, armed with eye-watering offers, are once again circling Robert Lewandowski — and while a summer transfer isn’t a certainty, it’s far from impossible. Yet, inside the Barcelona camp, there’s pushback.

Lamine Yamal, reports "El Nacional", is reluctant to see his experienced teammate go. Since stepping onto the pitch alongside Lewandowski, the young winger has reaped the rewards of playing with a forward of his caliber, considering him a vital ingredient in Barca’s recipe for success.

The Polish striker’s knack for finding space and drawing defenders has given Yamal the freedom to expand his own game. Their on-field chemistry is undeniable, and by all accounts, their bond extends beyond the final whistle.

It’s not just Yamal who values Lewandowski’s presence. Both Hansi Flick and the club’s hierarchy reportedly view him as a cornerstone of the current project. His wealth of experience, leadership in the dressing room, and knack for delivering in decisive moments make him almost irreplaceable — and any attempt to find a comparable alternative would be costly.

During the Club World Cup, Lewandowski made it clear he feels at home in Barcelona, though he also acknowledged that “anything can happen in football.”

Now, the 35-year-old faces a pivotal career choice: accept a staggering Saudi offer that would dwarf his current Barcelona salary, or stay put and continue his role as leader and mentor — especially to the club’s brightest young star.

For Yamal, the hope is simple: Lewandowski remains not only as a strike partner but also as the guiding figure who’s been shaping his development. For the coaches, the board, and for Yamal himself, the Pole remains a player they’re not ready to lose.
