Coach Trucha and his new team are faced with the big task of turning the team’s fortunes around.
AFC Leopards have confirmed three more appointments, coming shortly after the announcement of their new head, Tomas Trucha as Tom Juma's replacement.
The club has hired veteran goalkeepers’ trainer Haggai Azande as their new goalkeeping coach; he takes over from Lawrence Webo.
Former club captain Bernard Mang’oli returns to the club as team manager. He takes over from Albert Wesonga, who has been elevated to the position of CEO.
Joshua Caleb Osir has been appointed as assistant physiotherapist; he takes over from Bonaventure Odire, who was booted out.
“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Haggai Azande, Bernard Mang’oli Wanyama, and Joshua Caleb Osir as goalkeeper coach, team managers, and assistant physiotherapist respectively. The appointment takes effect immediately. They will be joining us for a period of two years,” read a statement from the club.
Leopards have started the season slowly, and this has resulted in a purge on the technical bench. In the six matches played so far, they have drawn four and lost two and are second from bottom in the FKF Premier League log.
Coach Trucha and his new team are faced with the big task of turning the team’s fortunes around, starting with the game against Bandari at the Mbaraki Sports Club in a week’s time.
The Czech coach is not new to Ingwe’s setup. He was in charge of the club for just over a month in 2020 before he bolted out, citing threats to his life and that of his agent, whom a section of Ingwe supporters had accused of influencing substandard signings at the den.
