Former Chelsea and Arsenal defender has a lot of time for the newly-signed Red
Dominik Szoboszlai, Liverpool's recent recruit, has been predicted by former Chelsea and Arsenal defender William Gallas to become "one of the best in the world."
Sunday saw the completion of Szoboszlai's $77 million transfer to Liverpool, making him the club's second acquisition following Alexis MacAllister ahead of the next Premier League season.
The Hungarian skipper joins L4 with several honours from his time at RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg. He won his second domestic trophy for the German team during his final campaign in Saxony, where they defeated Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Cup final.
Gallas is getting to know a lot about football in Hungary since he's taken the youth role coach with their first-tier team Zalaegerszeg. It's no wonder he has a lot of time for Szoboszlai.
"Of course you'll need time to settle in. In order to become a regular player, you have to give your maximum in every training session and match. As for technical skills: I was not afraid for Dominik Szoboszlai at all, because he has all the qualities to be successful and become one of the best in the world as a Liverpool player in the near future. What I'm curious about is the mental part. Will you be able to perform at your highest level at the end of each week? Because that's what you need in the Premier League."

The Hungarian international has bravely taken the number eight shirt, previously worn by the great Steven Gerrard. Gallas supports the youngster in his decision.
"When we talk about jersey number eight and Liverpool, almost everyone thinks of Steven Gerrard. It should be known that the best midfielders in the Premier League wear this number. It won't be easy, but he has to write his own story, and I wish him all the best for that."
