The winger is currently in the books of Kenya Police FC.

Former Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards pacey winger Clifton Miheso could be the latest Kenyan to join the Ethiopian Premier League as he is on the verge of signing for Wolkite Ketema.

According to sources close to the player, Miheso is set to leave the country on in the coming week to finalize negotiations with the Ethiopian side.

The fleet-footed winger featured for Police FC on Saturday 20 August and bagged a brace against Nation FC in their second pre-season friendly.

The source revealed that Miheso had offers from across the continent but is leaning towards a move to Ethiopia as he is set to finalize talks with Wolkite.

“Miheso had a number of deals from Tanzania and Zambia but there is a team in Ethiopia known as Wolkite who came on board with a better offer.

He is set to leave the country before Sunday next week for Ethiopia in order to finish up talks with the club after which he will decide whether to sign or not,” said the source.

Ethiopia has attracted a number of Kenyans to their revamped league with Erick Kapaito and Bernard Ochieng featuring for Arba Minch while Francis Kahata turned out for Sidama Coffee.

Should the deal materialize it will not be the first time Miheso has moved abroad as he has turned out for teams in Finland, South Africa, Zambia and Portugal.
