The Naibois are currently unbeaten in their last six league matches and sit sixth on the table with 45 points, just three adrift of third-placed Kenya Police FC.
The close margin has kept the race for higher positions tightly contested, with several teams still in contention as the season nears its conclusion.
Their recent 2-1 victory over Mathare United at Kasarani Annex further reinforced their upward trajectory, extending their strong run and strengthening belief within the squad ahead of the final fixtures.
Midfielder Roy Okal has been central to maintaining the team’s focus during this period, stressing the importance of consistency as they push towards their objective.
“We are targeting a top-five finish this season, and that result against Mathare United was proof of what we are capable of when we stay focused,” Okal said in an interview with The Star.
He acknowledged, however, that the final stages of the season will require even greater discipline and concentration.
“We understand the position we are in. Now it is about staying disciplined and making sure we do not waste any opportunity,” he said.
Okal also pointed to the competitiveness of the league table, where fine margins are expected to determine final standings.
“Every match from now on is crucial for us. There is no room for inconsistency at this stage,” he said.
Head coach Geoffrey Oduor has echoed similar sentiments, maintaining that a top-five finish remains achievable provided the team sustains its current level of performance.
“The top five finish is still achievable if we remain consistent and focused in every match we play,” Oduor said.
He further noted that while the team has shown considerable improvement over the season, this progress must now be translated into consistent results.
“We have improved in many areas, but improvement must now be reflected in points on the table,” he said.
