"In every job I've worked, I've been successful," said Liam Rosenior ahead of his debut with the Blues in the FA Cup against the Championship side Charlton Athletic (23.00)
The new era at Chelsea is set to begin, as the new manager, Liam Rosenior, will debut in the dugout tonight in the FA Cup clash against the second-tier side Charlton Athletic (23.00).
At first, an easy task to start with. However, the 41-year-old will have to start proving himself from day one at Stamford Bridge, especially since the public isn't convinced that he's been the right solution for the Blues' bench.
Yet, based on his statements in the pre-game press conference, Rosenior seems not to mind the general opinion, leaving the impression of a confident man.
"You don't limit your ambitions. I'm not arrogant, I'm good at what I do. In every job I've worked, whether as an interim, assistant, head coach, relative to the group I've worked with, I've been successful," Rosenior said via Sky Sports.

To support his stance, the tactician recalled his early days at his former club, Strasbourg, and the headlines in the French press about him.
"When I went in at Strasbourg, they said I was a joke in the media. They said my team would finish last, that it was an impossible project, the players were way too young, too inexperienced, and that I was a nobody from England."
"We finished three points outside the Champions League. The outside noise is just noise. If you focus on the job, your players and staff, and your process, I feel like you can do amazing things," the Englishman stated.
Hence, confidence is there, and words are strong. Now, it's time to move on to action.
