The win saw Migori end a 15-match winless run against All Stars and move to joint top of the 20-team National Super League standings with nine points from three matches.
With sights set on breaking their long-standing jinx against Kisumu All Stars, Migori started the match with purpose, dominating possession and creating early chances.
In the fifth minute, Syphas Otieno almost put the hosts ahead after pouncing on a loose clearance by the All Stars defense, but goalkeeper Brian Omambia made a timely save to deny him.
Three minutes later, Kennedy Odhiambo tried his luck from a 25-yard free kick that narrowly missed the target.
Migori continued to press, and in the 15th minute, Churchill Otieno met Woodvine Okoth’s pinpoint cross but failed to direct his header past Omambia.
The hosts maintained their attacking momentum, with Harmvine Okoth firing over the bar after a fine cut-back from Syphas.
Five minutes later, Frederick Ologi beat his marker down the right flank but his low drive whisked just past the post.
All Stars had their first real chance through Christopher Onyango, who latched onto a pass from Jack Ochieng, but his left-footed effort went straight into Stephen Onyango’s arms in the Migori goal.
A minute later, Churchill Otieno again came close, his powerful shot hitting the side netting after a fine solo run down the right wing.
Migori piled more pressure as Ologi and Syphas combined well to trouble the All Stars backline, but the final effort was deflected by Billy Byron for an easy collection by Omambia.
The visitors tried to respond through Mark Ochieng, whose fierce shot was blocked by Tyson Otieno.
Migori countered immediately as Kennedy Odhiambo’s attempted cross almost caught Omambia off-guard, forcing the goalkeeper into a fingertip save.
Moments later, Woodvine Okoth reacted to a flick from Ologi but saw his effort roll agonizingly wide.
Migori’s relentless attacks continued, with Syphas, Woodvine, and Ologi combining once more, though the final effort missed the target by inches as the sides went into halftime goalless.
Migori picked up from where they had left off after the restart, creating back-to-back chances through Syphas and Ologi, but it was Kisumu All Stars who opened the scoring against the run of play.
In the 56th minute, Wycliffe Opuro flicked in a well-weighted delivery from Byron Bahati, beating Onyango to hand the visitors a surprise lead.
Conceding seemed to ignite Migori’s fighting spirit.
They intensified their tempo and came close to equalizing through Churchill Otieno, whose teasing free kick from outside the 18-yard area forced Omambia into a punch.
Moments later, substitute Geoffrey Odira restored parity, pouncing on a loose clearance inside the All Stars’ box to slot home the equalizer, sending the home crowd into celebration.
Migori nearly took the lead soon after when Elvis Wafula reacted quickly to a spilled ball by Omambia, but the goalkeeper recovered to deny him.
However, Wafula would not be denied a second time. In the 78th minute, he produced a moment of brilliance, lifting a cheeky but clinical chip over the advancing Omambia from Syphas Otieno’s assist to give Migori a 2-1 lead.
The forward almost added a third minutes later with another chip that seemed destined for goal, but Omambia stretched to make a fine save.
Despite All Stars’ late attempts to salvage a point, Migori held firm to claim maximum points and continue their perfect start to the season.
The victory lifted Migori Youth joint top with Mombasa United, both on nine points after three matches.
