The 1:00 pm kickoff showdown during the lunch hour brings together two sides arriving into the fixture on the back of morale-boosting victories last weekend, with both teams eager to extend their impressive runs as the race for league objectives intensifies.
Talanta appear to have rediscovered their rhythm at the perfect stage of the campaign.
The James Gatheru-coached side heads into the contest buoyed by back-to-back 3-0 victories and currently enjoys a three-match unbeaten streak stretching back to their pulsating 3-3 draw against Michael Olunga Football Academy
(MOFA).
It marked a remarkable turnaround for the former FKF Premier League side, who had endured a difficult spell that saw their hopes of securing an immediate return to the top flight suffer a major setback.

Having started the season among the favorites for promotion, the Communications Authority of Kenya-backed outfit now finds itself battling to secure a respectable finish in the standings.
Nevertheless, recent performances have reignited belief within the camp, and Talanta will be keen not only to maintain their resurgence but also to exact revenge for the 3-1 defeat they suffered in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.
Victory on Friday would move the 2021 NSL champions to 51 points, significantly strengthening their pursuit of a top-five finish in what has become a fiercely contested race.
However, standing in their way is a determined Fortune Sacco side equally desperate for maximum points as they continue pushing for promotion to the FKF Premier League.
The Kirinyaga-based outfit heads into the match brimming with confidence after edging league leaders Migori Youth 1-0 last weekend in a result that considerably boosted their automatic promotion ambitions.
The Microfinance-sponsored side under the leadership of coach Vincent Nyaberi currently sits sixth on the table with 57 points and remains firmly in the hunt for a place in the top tier.
With the promotion race tightening by the week, Fortune Sacco knows that any slip-up at this stage of the season could prove costly.
A win against Talanta would lift them to 60 points, jointly with MOFA, and further close the gap on the leading pack to eight points, firmly cementing their status as genuine contenders for promotion.
With Talanta seeking revenge and Fortune Sacco determined to keep their promotion dream alive, Friday’s clash promises to be a cracker as the NSL enters its defining phase.
