The club will sign at least eight new players

Muhoroni Youth tactician Charles Odera believes that the team will pick from where they left last season and finish in the top eight bracket in the new term that is set to kick off on August 28.

Muhoroni who operated as Wazito were impressive in the final rounds of the past season, evading relegation after finishing third from bottom.

The team went on to win the promotion/relegation playoff 3-0 on aggregate against Migori Youth to cement their place in the top division.

It is after surviving the axe that, the club that relocated from Nairobi to Kisumu last year rebranded to Muhoroni Youth.

Odera, says they intend to build on the momentum gained in the past months, work on the areas that troubled them so as to start the new season positively.

The tactician, revealed that finishing inside the top eight is their irreducible minimum in the new season.

One thing I am sure of is, we will not struggle in the new season. I am confident that we will be among the top eight teams,” said the former Chemelil Sugar gaffer.

Muhoroni lost 1-0 to Kakamega Homeboyz last week and were held to a 1-1 draw by Shabana on Saturday. The team is scheduled to play Mara Sugar on Sunday.

In a bid to achieve their targets, the club intends to add at least eight new players, according to Odera.

He said, they had identified their targets and were in the process of finalizing the negotiations.

We want to sort the depth issues that costs us last season. In this regard, we will bring in eight new players. We will blend both senior and junior ones, “added the former APS Bomet coach.

The club lost its skipper Robert Onyango who joined Bandari days after the second leg of the playoff.
