Hernan Crespo left Al Duhail on mutual consent a few weeks ago
Former legendary striker and, until recently, the head coach of Michael Olunga's Al Duhail, Hernan Crespo, is on the verge of becoming the new boss of Uniter Arab Emirates' side Al Ain.
According to sources, the club and the 48-year-old tactician have reached a verbal agreement. Previously, Crespo refused the offer from the Argentine slot Racing, while Al Ain terminated the contract with their former manager, Alfred Schroeder.

The UAE team won all four AFC Champions League group stage matches and secured first place. In the domestic league, the team is third with 15 points after seven games, two points less than the table-toppers.
The first club Crespo coached was Modena, which played in the Italian Serie B. The contract was signed for one year with an option to extend for two more. On 26 March 2016, he was dismissed due to the team's unsatisfactory results. In addition, the Argentine coached the junior team of Parma, Banfield, Defensa e Justicia and Sao Paulo before sitting in the Al Duhail's dugout.
