
Ouma tastes defeat in Sweden as AIK fall to Norrkoping

More Kenyan stars are expected to be in action on Tuesday
Kenyan international Erick ‘Marcelo’ Ouma had an evening to forget after AIK fell 3-1 to Norrkoping in a Swedish top tier duel staged at the Platinum Cars Arena on Monday.
The Harambee Stars leftback featured in the entire match that AIK started off well but couldn’t control and take chances to bag maximum points after the final whistle.
AIK, took the lead barely three minutes into the game through Angolan national Rui Modesto who was assisted by Mads Thychosen.
Norrkoping who were playing in front of home fans leveled matters in the eighth minute Ake Sven Nyman.
AIK’s defence couldn’t withstand pressure from the host and as a result, let in the second goal in the 22nd minute after Arnor Traustason.
Victor Lind put the game beyond the reach of AIK after plundering home the third goal in the 54th minute.
Kenya duo in action in Tanzania later today
Meanwhile, the duo of Duke Abuya and Joash Onyango are expected to be in action when Singida Fountain Gate FC play host to Tanzania Prisons in a top tier game set for Tuesday at Liti Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
The two Kenyans joined Singida in the past transfer window and have already proven themselves as key players going by the minutes they have earned in the pre-season friendlies and in the past game against Zanzibar’s JKU.
Abuya was signed on a year-long loan deal from Kenya while Onyango also joined the club on loan from Simba.
Both Singida and Prisons will be hoping to get their campaign underway on a positive note.
