’Pep faked his tears for Aguero, Arsenal also wanted Kun’

Aguero family has a pick on Pep Guardiola. After a magnificent farewell from Manchester City, the best striker in the history of the club left and signed for Barcelona as a free agent. The Argentine left the Etihad Stadium as City's all-time top-scorer with 260 goals and a five-time Premier League winner.

And the ink hasn’t dried yet on the new contract and Aguero’s brother, and now the father accused Guardiola of never wanting Sergio in the first place.

Aguero’s father went on to accuse the Spaniard of faking tears at Kun’s farewell game.

„I don't believe him. He was never sincere with my son. He never wanted him in my opinion. He wants to be the protagonist in his clubs rather than the player. From one day to the next he changes the players, he changes the midfield, you never know if you're the main choice player or not. As Sergio said, things always depend on the club and the manager of the moment and that happens everywhere. They say your time is up at the club and the only option you've got left is to leave“ explained Leonel El Castillo to Radio La Red.

Aguero’s father was the second member of the family who accused Guardiola that he wasn't keen of signing Aguero in the first place. Sergio's brother was the first one to make accusations. In a now-deleted tweet as per Mirror, the 25-year-old, who now plays for Argentine side Independiente, wrote: "Guardiola never wanted my brother since his arrival at City" That initial tweet was then removed and when asked why, he replied: "Many toxic people, too many". The Athletic meanwhile have revealed that Guardiola was the one who decided the Argentine should not be awarded a new deal, much to the disappointment of the striker, so it’s normal that Guardiola’s tears were not welcomed by the Aguero family.

Leonel El Castillo also revealed that two English clubs, Chelsea and Arsenal were looking to sign his son after it was revealed that his contract won’t be renewed. He didn’t explained why any of those moves didn’t materialize, but confirmed that Aguero is happy to play with his long time friend Lionel Messi.

„My son was waiting right up to the last moment to renew with City but it didn't happen. He didn't know what was going to happen with his future. There were several clubs interested in signing him. Arsenal were interested in him and Chelsea to the last minute. If he didn't stay in England, it was going to be Italy or Spain. He is happy right now after signing for Barcelona. I see him happy. He's been friends with Lionel Messi since they were 15 and they've always talked. It looks like Messi is going to stay at Barcelona so they're going to play together“ said Kun’s father.
