The experienced Harambee Stars left back once again proved decisive from a dead-ball situation after curling home an 84th-minute winner to hand Kenya Police a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Murang'a Seal on Wednesday, 6 May, at Police Sacco Stadium.

The strike came barely four days after the former Bandari defender scored another stunning free kick in Police’s 1-0 victory over Shabana to send the law enforcers into the 2026 Mozzart Bet Cup semi-finals.

Speaking after the victory over Seal, Muyoti attributed Omar’s recent brilliance to the hard work put in during training sessions.

We have been practicing set pieces on the training ground, and his (Aboud’s) form shows how serious he has been taking training sessions,” said Muyoti.

Despite enjoying success from free kicks, the former Nairobi United tactician admitted frustration over his side’s inability to convert from corner kicks.

I am just disappointed that we are not replicating the success from corners. Against Seal, for instance, we had several of them but could not convert even one to a goal despite executing them in training,” he added.

Muyoti further pointed to tactical adjustments and second-half substitutions as key reasons behind the police's latest victory.

The game was very tactical. The early goal helped us, but again we dropped our guard and allowed them to equalize. We made several changes in the second half that eventually led to the beauty by Aboud that won us the match,” he remarked.

Following the victory, Police moved to third place on the league table with 51 points, 13 behind leaders Gor Mahia, whom they face next in a highly anticipated clash set for Sunday, 10 May, at Nyayo National Stadium.
