Posta had to make inroads into the market after losing their skipper and reliable defender Ken Owino who joined AFC Leopards

Football Kenya Federation Premier League side Posta Rangers have reunited with central defender Kevin Ouma.

Ouma returns to Posta for his second stint after agreeing to a six-month-long loan deal from Kenya Police.

The youthful defender first joined Posta in January 2020 from National Super League side Kibera Black Stars but would leave in September of the following year for Ulinzi Stars.

The Tusker Youth team product was reportedly expected to join the Recruits Training School after joining Ulinzi but that didn’t happen.

Instead, he ditched the four-time league champions for Police in 2022 and graduated from the General Service Unit (GSU), Nairobi Police College Embakasi ‘B’ Campus in January last year.

Ouma marked his return to competitive football after close to ten-month absence in January last year but could not feature for the law enforcers regularly due to the competition from his seniors and other job-related engagements.

Posta Chief Executive Officer John Wakhu confirmed that the club had indeed reunited with the towering defender.

Earlier in the week, Police loaned out their most experienced centre back Harun Shakava to Nzoia Sugar. He joined the sugarmen alongside striker David Simiyu.

Apart from Ouma, Posta have signed Christopher Oruchum who was a free agent after parting company with Tanzanian Premier League side Namungo FC.

The club has also landed the signature of 19-year-old left-back Ivan Ouko as well as experienced midfielder Shami Mwinyi from Kakamega Homeboyz.

Both Mwinyi and Oruchum worked with current Posta coach John Kamau at the defunct Thika United.
