Ulinzi Stars vs AFC Leopards

All eyes will be on Nyayo National Stadium, where Ulinzi Stars host AFC Leopards in a high-stakes encounter carrying major implications at both ends of the table.

For Ulinzi, the clash is crucial in their fight against relegation. The Soldiers currently occupy the final relegation spot and know that victory could lift them out of danger ahead of a difficult run of fixtures to close the season.

AFC Leopards, meanwhile, remain firmly in the title race and will be targeting all three points to reduce Gor Mahia’s lead to four points with only three matches left to play.

Any slip-up for Ingwe could hand Gor Mahia the opportunity to seal the title on Sunday when they face Murang'a Seal.

Ulinzi head into the fixture placed 16th with 32 points, one behind Kariobangi Sharks. On the other end of the table, AFC Leopards sit second with 58 points, seven adrift of the league leaders Gor Mahia.

The first leg meeting between the two sides ended in a dramatic 2-1 victory for AFC Leopards, with Ingwe scoring a late winner in a match that also sparked debate over officiating decisions.

Despite trailing in the title race, AFC Leopards head coach Fred Ambani remains optimistic.

“We are taking the race to the wire, which is healthy for the league. We are taking every game as a final.”

The kick-off is set for 4 PM.

Mara Sugar FC vs Shabana FC

At Awendo Green Stadium, Mara Sugar will host Shabana FC in a fixture featuring two sides that are virtually safe from relegation.

The Sugar Millers will draw confidence from their recent record against Shabana, having never lost to the Glamour Boys in the FKF Premier League.

In the three league meetings between the two clubs, Mara Sugar have won twice, while the reverse fixture earlier this season ended in a goalless draw.

Both sides will also be looking to bounce back after disappointing results over the weekend. Mara Sugar suffered a 2-1 defeat to AFC Leopards at Nyayo Stadium, while Shabana were held to a draw at Gusii Stadium by relegation-threatened Ulinzi Stars.

Mara Sugar currently sit 11th on the table with 40 points after 30 matches, while Shabana are fifth with 48 points.

The kick-off is scheduled for 2 PM.
