The club from Madrid has been undefeated in La Liga for 37 games and seeks to keep that streak alive against Espanyol (22.00)
September 24, 2023 - the day Real Madrid lost a La Liga match last time. Diego Simeone's warriors brushed Carlo Ancelotti's team at Metropolitano Stadium 3-1 on that day in the sixth round of the Spanish league. Since then, Los Blancos have recorded 24 wins and eight draws, but there has been no loss. That achievement ultimately ensured Real easily secured the title ten points ahead of Barcelona.

This season did not start as planned, especially considering Kylian Mbappe's arrival. Real drew two times in five rounds and currently sit in the third spot, behind the perfect Barcelona and Atletico. Still, the season is long, and Ancelotti has yet to come up with the ideal formula for fitting in all the superstars he has at his disposal. Even the opening Champions League game against Stuttgart in Madrid showed that Real still have vulnerabilities opponents could exploit. But once more, they did not lose.
Espanyol won two consecutive games. Hence, they arrive at Santiago Bernabeu filled with confidence and knowing they have nothing to lose. The club from Barcelona most recently beat Real in October 2021, 2-1 at RCDE Stadium. However, in Madrid, Periquitos lost ten matches in a row. The last time they avoided defeat was in 2012 (2-2), while Espanyol's previous triumph over Real in the Spanish capital came in April 1996. A really long time ago...
